WSOP 2009 Main Event results show the winner is 21-year-old Joe Cada. By virtue of a historic win, Joe Cada not only becomes the world’s youngest-ever person to do so but also grabs hands on $8.55million (£5.1m). The youngster’s retort just amazed the pundits of the game poker.
Though at a point he was on the verge of ousting from the World Series of Poker 2009 but then all of a sudden, the history was made and Joe Cada became the WSOP 2009 Main Event Winner, the youngest-ever in 40 years history of the tournament. He was up against Darvin Moon, much senior in age and experience.
What a moment it was for both Darvin and Joe. Darvin Moon had an unexpected defeat at the hands of a relevantly much younger opponent yet it earned him as much as $5,182,928. Joe Cada’s happiness was twofold; a fabulous victory that registered his name into the history book and the sum of $8.55million (£5.1m) that would definitely earn someone a fortune. While commenting about his second position Moon described that he wasn’t disappointed at all.
Joe Cada described his win as just amazing and added that he had always dreamed of winning such a huge tournament and same has come true today. He was thankful to family and friends as well as the fans for all kind of support that he says helped him win the World Series competition today.
Besides the new World Champion, Antoine Saout stood No. 3 with $3,479,485, No. 4 was Eric Buchman with $2,502,78. Number 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 were Jeff Shulman, Steve Begleiter, Phil Ivey, Kevin Schaffel, and James Akenhead earning 395, $1,587,133, $1,404,002, 1,300,228, and $1,263,602 respectively.
