One bloodcurdling hit knocked out 6-foot-3 Tim Tebow! The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Tim Tebow and Taylor Wyndham collided in Kentucky territory and the crowd stunned to see Tebow knocked out. The knock out occurred during Florida Gators – Kentucky Wildcats clash on Saturday 26 Sept. 2009.
Florida Gators’ August 14, 1987 born quarterback from Manila (Philippines) Timothy Richard “Tim” Tebow was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance while he faced a ‘clean hit’ to his head resulted from his collision with Wildcats’ defensive end right in the middle of third quarter of Gators – Kentucky game on Saturday night at Lexington.
Although there have been no recent updates on his present condition but while being carted away off the field, Tim Tebow was noticed vomiting. The most probable and primary diagnosis would be concussion as it always is in most of the cases when a severe head injury is involved. Florida coach Urban Meyer is also of the opinion that though not sure, but it is concussion. John Brantley is the replacement for Tim for the time being.
Despite the rumors of having some respiratory illness, before the injury, Tim was doing pretty fine as he rushed for 123 yards along with 2 scores followed by another 103 yards passing. Also he had a touchdown. The incident may consolidate the verdict of many who criticized bluntly as to why Tim and two other teammates were quarantined while they should have flown along with the rest of the team? Tim’s isolated voyage in particular, must have got some reason. Joe Haden and Major Wright were the two others who accompanied Tim on that particular flight. Later they joined the team at a hotel short while before the game.
The last three weeks have been quite nerve breaking for the Florida officials as they are facing many players suffering from various illnesses and as per coach Meyer, at least 35 players have been found sick. Jeff Demps, Jemaine Cunningham, A.J. Jones, Aaron Hernandez are among the sufferers already and now the latest- Tim Tebow.
