Gina L. Gershon accepts the challenge to play Pat Allanson in a two-part movie “Everything She Ever Wanted.” The movie is a Lifetime Movie Network presentation and it’s based on Ann Rule novel, without much divergence from the original book.
Well known for hits such as Showgirls, Bond or Face/Off, 47-year-old American actress Gina L. Gershon appears on the big screen yet again in a big movie that comprises of two-parts. A movie that was filmed in Toronto by Darius-ESEW is a Lifetime Movie Network presentation and it’s already in the theaters since November 14, 2009.
The movie is based on one of her masterpieces that earned Ann Rule a repute of a wonderful true crime writer. Even at the age of 74, Ann Rule is producing her best. ‘Everything She Ever Wanted’ that inspired the director Peter Svatek, is her book Ann wrote in 2002 (first it was written in 1992).
Gina has portrayed Pat Allanson in the movie that’s a two-part one and her role as Pat is being considered as very multifaceted and bit deceitful character. This opportunity was accepted as a challenge by the famous television and film actress and her role has again made her the media attention.
Pat Allanson grabs attention straightaway as first she marries Tom Allanson for only one reason; he’s rich or at least the son of an extremely rich lawyer, Walter. Then she’s the one that slays the family of her much younger husband Tom Allanson, in order to lay her hands on inherited money.
Since the story follows the original theme of the novel with nominal divergences, the dirty and repulsive nature of Mrs. Tom Allanson comes into play towards the closing moments whereby slowly it reveals that the sociopath gold digger knows her own boundaries only. Nothing can stop her to achieve her goal.
Hopefully the movie is going to be yet another hit and soon the efforts of director, writer and the whole team would pay off.
