Michelle Obama, the First Lady appears on Hot Girls blog in a monkey-like image. Even an enraged public response to a “racist and repugnant” image of Michelle Obama, is not a solid enough reason for Google Inc. to remove the image from image search results.
Very recently, the Google Inc. was forced to remove a whole site from their list that contained indistinct and quite fuzzy images of the president Barack Obama. However, this time the Google people seem to be determined not to withdraw from their own point of view.
Anyone that opens the Google image search pages on Michelle Obama, encounters with an image of Michelle wherein the first lady appears to be a monkey-like creature! The particular image is available on the famous blog ‘Hot Girls’ offering her natural and legitimate photographs too. Reportedly, there is an enraged and furious protest going on against the same by millions of viewers countrywide. The protesters claim that the depiction is racist and repugnant, beyond any doubts.
However, the Google people have different viewpoint. While talking about the crude and distorted Michelle photograph to the reporters, Scott Rubin the Google Inc. spokesman stated on Tuesday that “in general, it’s a bias towards the freedom of speech.” The image will remain there as it is now, added Scott on behalf of the Google Inc. “It will neither be altered nor removed from company’s research pages,” he continued to state.
Google Inc. claims that they should be provided with some more solid reason to remove the image than a mere allegation of its being offensive to the viewers. There is no explanation whatsoever on the blog about the image that depicts the first lady in a disgraceful manner. However, with a little alteration the blog now reads “Offensive Search Results.”
