According to the Washington Post reports the Secret Service officials are engaged in investigating whether how an uninvited couple of people named Michaele Salahi and her husband Tareq Salahi managed to skip strict code of conduct regarding a selected guests’ list, on Tuesday night.
A suspicious couple somehow managed to join the 300 carefully selected, celebrity guests at the first White House state dinner of the President of the United States, Barack Obama last night. It turned into a matter of serious concern for the Secret Service officials that at what particular point the security arrangements lapsed and the couple was let in. The question as to how and why their names were not verified from the guests’ list prior to their joining the house, still remains unanswered, however.
Michaele and Tareq Salahi have been identified as polo-playing socialites and the couple has reportedly appeared on one of the reality shows “The Real Housewives of DC.” Both are among the cost of the show and are from northern Virginia. The couple has posted countless pictures of the dinner on the Facebook page wherein they’re proudly posing with the political figures.
The most noticeable of the pictures are of Michaele with Joe Biden the Vice President and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Then she’s in with Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty, CBS News anchor Katie Couric, Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif and even with Marines.
When the media got involved on Wednesday, the investigation was prompted and agency spokesman Ed Donovan made it clear that security violation incurred at one particular checkpoint whereby the proper procedure was not followed. However, there were no further details regarding the investigation or its findings, as yet.
