American Grammy Award-winning rapper Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., who’s better recognized by his stage name Lil Wayne, is ready to pay a visit to jail in 2010 for at least one year. Former member of ‘Hot Boys’ group, Dwayne Lil was first arrested in the year 2007 right after performing at the ‘Beacon Theatre’ New York City whereby; the rapper was allegedly found smoking marijuana weeds while accompanied by another fellow, near the tour bus and they were noticed by the New York City Police Department, thus caught red-handed.
When the police took him in custody on July 22, 2007, they discovered that Lil was carrying a 40-caliber pistol as well thus, he was charged with two counts; possession of a weapon and drug (marijuana) use. Hardly three months later was the star in trouble again. This time after performing at Qwest Arena (Boise) on October 5, 2007, the Georgian authorities accused Lil with possession of a controlled stuff or essence. Four charges were imposed upon Lil; possession of narcotics, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct (including weapons) and possession of drug equipment. On a $10,185 bond, he was permitted to travel however; on May 6, 2008 he had to appear at an Arizona court to plead not guilty.
Lil was engaged in a production company lawsuit of $1.3 million regarding $100,000 advance for three numbers shows, which were cancelled on Lil’s consent later on.
The stars are against the star again and on Thursday October 22, 2009, Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. was pled guilty of a criminal possession yet another weapon. This time he’s due for an expected one-year sentencing in February 2010.
