Orange County amusement park Knott’s Berry Farm accident affected only two. The Xcellator roller coaster accident at Knott’s Berry Farm is first of its kind, caused by the ride since its fixture in 2003, the park officials reported.

As per the information and the reports obtained regarding Orange County accident so far, it reveals that luckily the roller coaster ride that has the capacity of seating some 20 passengers at a time had lesser number of persons than the accumulated quantity on Wednesday last. At around 4 p.m. two perfect strangers (not known to each other prior to accident) encountered a severe accident that ended up with amazing results. There was no casualty rather only small or so called moderate injuries caused to two thrill seekers.

The ride called “Xcelerator” actually gains a speed from zero to eighty (mph) in less than 3 seconds (2.3 seconds to be exact) therefore, it thrills loads of visitors each day. Since its introduction in the year 2003, there has never occurred any unpleasant incident involving even small injury to anyone. Being a very popular and challenging ride, park management and relevant staff always keep a good eye on it’s maintenance on daily basis.

As usual routine the ride took off with the load of screaming passengers, but shortly it halted and then rolled back to its departure point thus, causing an elderly man back injuries whereas the young boy reported 20-year-old, received injuries to his leg mild or moderate in nature though. Paramedics had to pull the man whose neck and back were affected. Both of them were taken to the hospital for treatment however.

The ride was reported shut down immediately after the accident. It will remain closed while the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health along with the Buena Park amusement park investigate the matter in detail.
