Tropical storm Bill 2009 Hurricane is approaching. The predicted / projected path was Gulf initially but now it’s strengthening over Central Tropical Atlantic Ocean. Bill is now nearing Hurricane strength.
This is 2009 Atlantic hurricane season, an event in the usual annual tropical cyclone cycle formation. On June 1, the season was officially declared to have started and it will continue till November 30. These are the dates or this is a period every year when normally tropical cyclones are formed in the whole Atlantic strip. It has been noticed that the Atlantic basin remained kind inactive temporarily. But two Tropical Storms Ana and Bill both developed on 15 August in the nearby areas of Cape Verde Islands. Then the Claudette came into formation on 16 August and turned into the first storm this year and caused landfall in the USA. While Ana is nearing the Caribbean although weakening up to Tropical Depression status.
As reported by the National Weather Services, the Bill is now moving at a bit faster speed (32 km/Hr) and shifting towards the West-Northwest and is likely to do so for the next two more days although still it’s not sure what direction it may take lately.
Latest updates few hours ago stated that the wind pressure reaching 220 KM/Hr therefore the gusts keep on rising and the Bill turned into a Hurricane already. Bermuda is likely to be affected most by Bill as the Caribbean Islands and the US areas may escape the trouble this time. Anna is bringing heavy rains to Puerto Rico. At moment, the status of Bill is something like this. Location still Northwest, Maximum Sustained Pressure is somewhat stable at 90 M/Hr whereas its moving WNW.
