With reference to his love affair one of his four sons off Jenny Sanford says Sanford’s affair was worse than even Eliot Spitzer. A tell-all book by the first lady of South Carolina reveals how she was shocked and felt ignored over learning Sanford’s having affair with Maria Belen Chapur.
Following the confirmed news of Marshall Clement “Mark” Sanford’s involvement with a 43-year-old woman from Buenos Aires named Maria Belen Chapur, Mrs. Jennifer Sullivan Sanford was left with no choice but file the divorce and so did she. Governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford left the state for an official 5-day economic development mission but instead, spent those days with Maria Belen a divorced mother. It was on 11 December, 2009 when Jenny made an announcement regarding filing the divorce.
On his return from the ‘recreational’ trip, Mark Sanford made a confession publicly and admitted his relationship and even called Maria as his ‘soul mate,’ while during a media interview. The divorce is likely to be finalized somewhere later this month and couple would split though they remained married for over 20 years.
Published by Ballantine Books, “Staying True” is due for sale from upcoming Friday followed by Jenny’s live interview on ‘20/20’ by ABC host Barbara Walters on the night of Thursday. Upon learning their loved father’s infidelity through their mother, four sons the couple had together were really embarrassed.
Jennifer Sullivan Sanford writes in the tell-all book that she felt absolutely neglected and kind unwanted character that had no room in her husband’s life anymore. According to her son the act of his wather was similar to former governor of New York Eliot Laurence Spitzer or even worst than that who also resigned from his post following his scandalous involvement with prostitution ring.
