New controversy suggests Beanie Sigel disses Jay-Z by his performance in a recent Philadelphia concert. Was it really hard to assess from Beanie Sigel’s spontaneous appearance whether he dissed or approbated Jay-Z for his work? Beanie was invited onstage by Jadakiss, his label mate.
The controversy started when on the morning of Friday October 30, 2009 the 35-year-old rapper from Philadelphia Dwight Grant also known as Beanie Sigel performed a petite set comprising a bit rephrased version of the famous hip-hop artist Shawn Corey Carter who’s better known as Jay-Z.
But hay, singing “Blueprint 3” introductory version was not the reason for the controversy that followed rather Beanie did something else too before leaving a stage where he was invited to perform by non other than Jadakiss with whom he didn’t have a very ‘pleasant’ past. The hiphopdx.com claims that Beanie bellowed to the maddening crowd and said ‘Love you all Phillies.’
What followed next was a statement that made the whole event a center of attention. Beanie added further to his closing remarks, “Beanie runs the town tonight.” Coincidently the 38-year-old Shawn Corey Carter Jay-Z has all the right in the world to claim and say; ‘Hay, “I Run This Town” is the title of my own and personal single!
Few hours before this incident in Philadelphia, Alicia Keys and Jay-Z were also busy entertaining a massive crowd at the Yankees Stadium in New York City. The news just spread across the country courtesy Hot 97’s DJ Kay Slay aired the dissed Jay-Z record delivered by Beanie Sigel.
