The winners of the AMA Awards 2009 announced. Sunday night’s live transmission of the American Music Awards Show reveals Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson lead the winners. If Taylor Swift won 5, late Pop King Michael Jackson also grabbed 4 awards.
Sunday proved to be yet another big night for Taylor Swift. On November 22, 2009 the CMA Entertainer of the Year 2009 Taylor Swift seemed to be stealing the show once more since she was awarded for 5 out of 6 nominations she received. The final results also revealed what an impact late Pop King Michael Jackson had on the music industry; late master won as many as 4 AMA Awards too and topped the list.
19-year-old Taylor Swift made headlines for stealing the show at Country’s 43rd Musical Awards at Nashville Tennessee in very recent past but she seems to be hungry for more yet. She was again considered the biggest winner by grabbing ‘Artist of the Year,’ ‘Female Artist in Pop/Rock,’ ‘Female Artist in Country’ and ‘Favorite Adult-Contemporary artist’ awards at the live American Music Awards show.
The other star of the night was the one only Michael Jackson. There is no doubt whatsoever that the King still rules the hearts of millions of music lovers. The same was evident on Sunday night as there were as many as four MMA awards for Michael and later, Janet Jackson could also be seen on stage after a long time.
Then there were some memorable live performances from a number of music artists to keep the audiences glued to their seats till the end. They performed on new songs and turned the occasion into a great music awards ceremony.
Briefly, the winners included: Best Artist -Taylor Swift, Best Country Male Artist – Keith Urban, Favorite Male Pop/Rock – Michael Jackson, Favorite Pop/Rock Album – Michael Jackson (Number Ones), T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist – Gloriana, Favorite Soul/R&B – Michael Jackson, Favorite Pop/Rock Band – Black Eyed Peas, Best Country Female Artist -Taylor Swift, Favorite Female Pop/Rock-Taylor Swift, and last but the least, Favorite Female Adult Contemporary-Taylor Swift.
